Default Orlandoo Jeep servo question...

So I ordered a Jeep 35A01 for my son for Christmas... the problem is, I started to order the F150 first, so I gathered the electronics recommended by the Hobby Town website, but at the last minute decided on the Jeep instead. What I didn't know was that the Jeep uses a different servo...
So, now I have the Jeep coming, as well as a 1.7g servo; from what I understand in my searching, the 2.2 is too big to work in the F150, but... will the smaller 1.7 work in the Jeep?

yes and no....

it wont bolt into the stock mounts as the mounting points are narrower but......... the stock servo mounts are terrible, they really limit the suspension travel.

but.... there is sooooo many different ways to mount it... me personally, I used the 1.7g servos but, I cut the mounting wings off and cut the servo mount level with the diff housing and glue it in place, that way i can get the full range of suspension with out the servo touching the chassis

Interesting, thanks. I went ahead and ordered a 2.2 for his Jeep, as I don't want to risk messing anything up and want his build to go as smoothly as possible... however... I also have a Defender on the way for myself and have no problem modding my own stuff
