Lol, that is so cool. I love it and have no desire to build one. Those Orlandoos were meticulous enough for me.

I'm nervous to click on the links. That's how I wound up with 6 crawlers already! Any idea what's the main PITA with assembling these aside from the obvious tiny screws?

HOLY HAND CRAMPS, BATMAN! I thought my 'doo jeep was gonna put me in the goofy gulag. I can wear magni' glasses, but I don't think I could hold onto the parts for THESE, and buildin' one with tweezers is just too much! Wish they'd been around when I was younger.
NEATO!!

It's all brass and requies a handful of adjustments and filing and such, you gotta heat up the U joints and put the center piece in yourself, and in general the entire thing is just so absurdly small if you sneeze you lost a part forever.

it has to be assembled with permanent thread locker because it's too small for screws! xD

I had to assemble mine with the microscope I got at my work!

I found this to be less funny and more terrifying lol.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm out!

Been there, done that, nearly went blind!

Back in 2003 I was inspired by the German TTTT craze (Table Top Trial Trucks) and made a couple for myself. All hand made chassis and drive trains. Most people were using Roco brand H.O. scale truck bodies. Too much fun. I made a couple online friends from Germany that sent me some 1mm LEDs. Cutting edge stuff back then. Long before tiny Lipos were available I had to use little 40mah nmhs cells and cram them wherever they would fit.

Some of the coolest modelling work I have ever done in my long modelling career. But the German guys were light years ahead of my work. I could only try to replicate the stuff they were doing.

Yeah well I built those from scratch 16 years ago when I was 38. My eyes and hands are different now. I still ordered a Dads87 to torture myself.

Yep, sums up why I didn't get into these lol.

Saw them back when same as Shapeshifter, badass looking, but way too tiny and fiddly for me.
