Default Scx24 and castle 0808 motors?

With the new sidewinder 2 micro I found the combo deal for the 0808 brushless motors. They are 20mm in diameter so maybe they will fit in this crawler?

I guess the micro sidewinder is not new. But that motor? Any ideas if it will fit?

Maybe if you look into an aftermarket transmission on shape ways? I think the 030 motor that is in it has flat sides. They have a cool transmission for a 370 motor. And I was thinking of trying to fit a 380 homes hobbies revolver…

Check out the video on that page also.

Hope I helped out!

To each their own, but some things to consider. The castle motor is 20mm thick and 38mm long which is 5mm thicker than the flat side of a 130 motor and about the same length as the 180 motors. However if you didn't care about raising your weight and center of gravity with a huge heavy expensive motor you may as well go with the Holmes Hobbies 380 mini revolver. IMO it's still too big for a micro and better suited for a 1/18 comp Losi mini/slick rock/ 1/18 temper, but it's $10 cheaper than the castle motor, smaller, lighter, with MUCH more torque and being a Holmes outrunner should be much much smoother than a castle inrunner.

I figured for certain the 380 is to big for the stock transmission.

What about the micro toro systems. They are 25A and about the same size. 20mm diameter can x 38mm long

Actually somebody makes a 370 motor plate so the Holmes hobbies weevolver is an option!

I might be happy enough with a standard brushed motor at this size though. Cheaper and quieter.
