Received today via Amazon. Although packaging looked unopened, there was no documentation, or charger. The transmitter was loose in a bag in the lower compartment of the box, and the battery was loose in the lower compartment as well. Not really pressed about a charging cable, as I charge on my dedicated battery lipo charger, but some documentation would have been nice I suppose. Other thing that bugged me was that the rear body clips were put on from what I consider the wrong direction in that you need to force past the roll cage resulting in scratches to the body. No idea why that was done at the factory, as inserting them from the other direction would have resulted in no scratches to the body. Not terrible scratches, but I wanted to be the one to damage the body, lol. After charging the included battery, I ran her for just a few minutes. First impressions are that it feels similar to my CR-24 but perhaps with a tighter turning radius. I have not confirmed this. Not sure if it's the gear mesh, but it sounds like a 70's Mercedes diesel when running, lol. The front and rear running lights turn on in correspondence with throttle input. I also noticed that the tires are glued to the rims. I don't have a first generation RGT 1/24 to compare to, otherwise I'd comment from that perspective. I have very little technical knowledge on rc crawlers especially when compared to many contributors on this forum, so please take my comments above with that in mind. I look forward to spending more with this crawler with my boys and our other Hobby Pluss CR-24's, as well as reading everyone else's experience with this model. |
