| Shocks help
Morning. I tried the cheap hobby plus 1/24 shocks and those were horrible. Very sticky and got snagged up during compression. So what’s. Everyone doing for shocks besides the Hot racing ones that also had lots of negative comments. I wants something that delivers a little more flex so I am assuming around 50-60mm length?!?! I have the upgraded towers that come with the lower trays on shapeways. Help please! Currently have stock shocks back on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I do have some 1/18 stock dromida and helion shocks that are around 60mm or so. I might be able to work with those and mount them. So my next question is should I mount the tops high or low for more articulation. I’m not an expert on this so need a little help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Have you checked out RexRacer19 write up on using the Hobby Plus shocks? I believe he swapped the springs to the OE Axial springs with a bit of grease. Check out his posts for details. I have found that adding some grease and then sitting at my desk compressing the shocks over and over by hand on these micros has helped break them in. Good Luck! |

I’ll read it again and maybe give it another shot. I go have some good marine grease here and the stock springs were def better so maybe I just need more patience Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Gave it another try today. Greased them up. Used stock tops and stock bottoms Mounted second hole up in the servo and battery tray upgrade from Shapeway. I think it smoother than first time and after some uSe should wear in a little more. I also have a heavier hummer body coming I think that will help a little. There is definitely more flex than the stock one shown in picture next to yellow one with longer shocks. Will the lower mount give more flex? Or upper mount hole? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
