Default SCX24 Brass Diff Cover Question

I just bought my 10 year old son a SCX24 and he is loving it. We have been bashing with Traxxas stadium trucks for 3-4 years but we are new to crawlers. I bought him beadlock wheels and better tires when we bought the truck and our next upgrades are going to be an emax servo and better steering links. I also want to get brass diff covers to add weight down low. Any thoughts on just getting a front cover or do I need front and rear? I haven't relocated the battery to the front and thought just putting a front diff cover on would shift more of the overall weight to the front.

Only front will work fine.

Why not go ahead and do the front and rear both? They're cheap ( in comparison to a lot of RC upgrades) and the scx24 definitely benefits from having added weight over both front and rear axles.

I have a JLU with the battery relocated to the front and this improved forward weight bias and I'm also running stamped steel wheels, but I still plan on adding brass covers to both front and rear, because it's still a bit top heavy, but I am running a Komodo. Hoping the brass down low offsets the Komodo up high.

The aluminum ESC mount and steering links will also add some weight to the front.

I think it all comes down to how you plan on using and setting up your 24 and how much money you want to spend on it.

Both will be just fine. Not too heavy for the stock truck.
