Default Hardware help needed for SCX24

Hello RCCers!

So while replacing the steering links on my SCX24 I managed to snap the threads off one of the ball end screws that connect the steering link to the steering knuckle.

I tried searching online and reaching out to Horizon Hobby and local shops but I can't find it anywhere. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

I think the only source for the ball screws is to buy new steering links. Don't recall of anyone being able to source the balls alone. If it was me I'd probably replace the steering links with some aftermarket ones.

That's what I have some aftermarket links off Shapeways

Even if someone has found a DIY hardware swap I have no idea where to start looking...

I think Axial is missing the boat, they could make a hardware kit with screws, ball ends, & the balls for the links in it. I'm betting at least half the people that bought SCX24's would but one. I know I would I like having extra hardware for my rigs.

For the ball ends you could order a spare set of shocks and take them from them that way you have some spares too. Part number AXI31612. All other hardware I buy in bulk 1.4m in 5,8,12mm

Hey now this might be the way to go, even if I get aftermarket shocks I can use their mounting hardware to free up a ball end screw for the steering assembly... thank you for this suggestion this is probably the best option for me right now.

I am all kinds of messed up in the last posts, sorry...

Just to get it straight -

M1.4 in 5mm, 8mm, 10mm are the standard sizes.

I buy them in bulk 100 at a time and have yet to run out. Most of the ones used are the 5mm, the 8 and 10mm are used on the lower suspension side of things. But the 5mm are everywhere else.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H22ZCGU..._peKdGbDKH55QN

However I do not remember what size the wheel nyloc nuts are but I think it was M2.
