Which Brushless set up for 1/18 FMS Toyota LC080?

I’m new to crawling and just bought an Fms Toyota Land Cruiser 80 and want it to go faster as I’m used to faster vehicles but still want to crawl as well. Which Brushless set up for 1/18 FMS Toyota LC080?

You’d want a sensored setup to maintain some low speed drivability. I’m not familiar with the particular tranny on this one but either a bigger can, different tranny, or some sort of gear change is needed.

Looking at pics online this is a decent sized motor. Tranny swapping may be a better alternative to brushless or simple motor swaps. I’d go to 2s lipo before jumping to brushless since you’d need 2s anyway.

I’ve got an SCX24 transmission with a Komodo/Tegu combo for mine. I’ll be dropping it in after I complete the Kuro King. I’ll let you know how it goes.

I’ve been researching the Furitek lizard esc and Kyosho mini-z brushless motor for an upgrade.

Thanks. Im assuming that you are hoping that the scx24 transmission will fit in the 1/18 Toyota lc80 and don’t know for sure yet huh?

Correct. I haven’t installed it, but I did measure it and it also seems the holes line up. I’m fairly confident I can make it work.

Why not go the AM32 ESC road ? With a small outrunner that is the perfect combination .

I really just want it to go faster as I’m used to faster vehicles!
