Default Bronco links

Hey all!
I've got a bronco, I bought for my nephew, and he drive it about 3 batteries before the motor burned out.
He told me it's "junk" cause it doesn't work. I told him I'd throw it out for him.
Long story short, I've got a holmes hobby 66t and 44t on the bench, but I figured I'd try something I've not seen personally. Are dead bolt rears up front and gladiator rears out back to much length? For the cost of links and driveshafts I'll probably try regardless unless I get some "it's been done, don't waste your time" kind of response.
Thanks
