Jay thanks for taking the time to post them up so quickly Very nice to have the results posted this early, with the number of trucks we had today. For those who stayed around long enough, they were able to see where they placed before leaving.

What did everyone think of the free run style? I liked how we were able to run the supers during the 2.2 runs, without running around trying to see when we were up next. But at the same time I didn't run either of the 2.2 courses until the end of the day, as I was helping so much that I didn't get around to taking a spot in line. At this point I would like to try it one more time before saying if I would rather run free crawl order, or ranked running order.

I think it went fairly smooth, seemed a bit more laid back. I think with a little tweaking it could be good way to run..
I'll work on fixing the pics later tonight or whenever I wake up from my nappy time
Was some good driving today, and great to see the Illinios guys

.............. and yes even the ND guys too

That could be, lol. I just got lucky at the comp. All that pratice at the drinking fountain paid off. Casey and I run that line every time we are at TF. Plus I didnt want Gary to get bored winning all the time.

Hey guys I just wanted to say thanks for another great time. You guys run things very well.

I think the free crawl worked pretty good. I was able to get a good look at the courses, run the courses, have time to chat with others without missing my turn, even ran the stop watch on both 2.2 courses. I don't think we ever had to wait for anyone to run. We definately didn't have to try to find someone when it was there turn and hold things up. There was always someone in line ready to go.

Again thanks for the great hospitality and can't wait until we come back again.

Yup thanks again guys for another great comp. I think the free crawl deal is the way to go, much more relaxed. We will see you guys for Fall finals.

Tony, thanks for helping out with the stop watch and calling out penalty's and progress. You did a great job calling everything out. I will try to make the last changes to the score cards this week and send them to you and Jason.

I know there were at least 3, maybe one other I didn't know about? Joe, Kevin, and Ben all had Bergs. Joe only took first because he was able to do a bonus gate that Gary could not. And even with that bonus gate, he only won by 2 points.... Gary doesn't need a Berg to be up top, but he might need his Berg at Nats if he wants a chance at the top spot there.

I think if he can get his Axial to pull off that bonus gate line, he will be able to out drive the bergs on anything

Well yes, I did take several photos. Not that I am going to download them all. So, until I feel like it...this is it.

Troy's Berg...not a failure, just didn't use locktight.

The Scalers were much more fun.

I'd like to see Gary decide to use the rig he has, it's been good to him and it got him a spot to Moab. He and that truck got a major thing going on.

Gary do NOT switch rigs. You know how to drive what you got. Your truck and you are in tune, it shows every week.

Oh, do PLEASE get rid of that hideous "halo" body. Come on man, that is something even your paint skills can't hide.

That is why I myself have mixed feelings on bonus gates. You can out drive someone and lose because you can't make a bonus gate. That being said, if Joe was 1 of 2 or 3 to clear it, then he deserves the bonus deduction. Either way, he won.

I just think the Berg's are a necessity to compete at the very top level. They are honestly almost like cheating compared to a shafty.

Gary is a great driver, but I think he would be that much better with a Berg. He has put in a TON of hours at Taylors, probably more than even he would admit. He is very used to his rig and knows how it reacts. That, along with his great ability to pick lines and that is a dangerous combo.

Good job Joe and Gary and Mike. 2 of the top 3 are shafties.
