Default Duluth Scaler ad 2.2 comp #2

May 8th Brighton Beach Tough Truck Challenge!

2.2 Comp at 10 am sharp. I will have the courses setup and ready to go.

Scaler Run at 11 am

Tough Truck Course for scalers for this event then a trail ride on the beach.

Brighton Beach is north on HWY 61 (London Road) Just past Lester river I think they call it Kigigami Park or something like that but the road is called Brighton Beach.

I figure we have the comp first them trail ride after because the trail ride last a long time.

This event will have two comp sections for comp rides and 2 tough truck scaler courses. And a winch will help a lot!!! You can also do the buddy system and the last guy to cross the line is your score. This works good if you tip over but if your buddy totaly breaks or wahes out to sea you get the same score. Or you can brave it alone and your score is yours alone. Remeber to add scale points they help a lot.

Then a big tail ride after and everyone is welcome no matter what type of rig you are running. Only rule can't touch your rig to flip it over or get unstuck.

See ya there!!!

So, is it going to be neccessary to be completely waterproofed and ready for submersion at this spot, or can I get away with "splash proof"? Can't wait, rig is all set up this time, rok lox and all!

Splash proof will be fine. I hate swamping my rigs so it will be dry or very shallow water crossing.

Default Rain or shine we run!...or snow!

I got a new chevy scaler to run. I still need to add a few scale points before Saturday. Make sure I take a picture of your rig when you sign up so we can post them on the net for the other jokers can see how sweet our rigs and wheeling spots.

Default We are still on for tomorrow!!!!!

There is no snow down by the lake. Roads are just wet so we are still going to hold the event. Even if there was a little snow we are still going. Should be a great time. See everyone tomorrow.

Default Results!!!! Wow what a close event!!!

We did not know what to expect when we woke up this morning but man it turned out to be a great day. 50 plus by the lake with hardly no wind. It was awesome. The comment of the day was "We should have brought charcoal"

Stalker Steve came to play today. He added a few more scale points to his Honcho and stole his kids race motor for one fast Axial.....He won today!!

Steve has a stock honcho with flat irons and a 502 ram jet on the juice!!

Scale Points...21 and fastest time of 5:00 for 30 points put the Old beat-up Honcho at 51

Now it gets interesting...Tie for second.

Talon ran his white JK four door with new Roc Lox. This truck was 13 inch wheel base and he was taking some lines that worked very well. He was taking different lines all day. Plus his scale build looks awesome!!!

Scale points.....29 event time.....7:32 for 3 place points 21 total 50.

I brought a new chevy 80's mudder. Bogger and super swamper tires, hard plastic clod chevy body.

I missed some scale points but had 23. I managed to keep the chevy rolling for a second in the event for 27 points tying with Talon with 50 points.

Kent the builder of the group did not get the scout done but he drove the Honcho really well

Scale points 25 and third fastest time with 5:38 and 24 points for a total of 49...man a couple more scale points and he could have won the whole thing!!

John's Land rover looked the best with a ton of cool scale stuff. He opted to keep the bumper off missing out on a few scale points.

He had 30 scale points but a slow 15.27 for last in points 18. Total of 49.

This was the coolest event I have ever been to. Thanks for coming!

2.2 comp

Kwapi first, Chad Second and Stalker gets a third....The courses where crazy tough. No one finished any.

Next Event Hill Climbs June 12th Spirit Mt.
