I have a friend in ND that does nice work for half of what "pros" charge. Usually what works best is you pay pal for paint, body and shipping. He gets the body, paints it and ships it back. Nelson paint works does awesome work cheap but is for the most part always backed up. He's in the Minneapolis area.

Do you have contact info for ether? The only Nelson paint I can find looks like they do houses and exterior only.

Ya you wont find info on them since they don't advertise. Neither of them are members of RCC. Are you registered on rctech? I can send you links to them there. Like I said ben would be your nest bet since Steve is always way booked.

Spidey painted my pulling truck body & you can find him every Saturday at Jerry's RC in Lino Lakes. Or call Jerry's to get his number.

I plan on stopping at Jerry's after work, I'll ask for spidey. I'm not sure how complicated it would be just racing stripes and a two tone fade top to bottom

pretty easy, tape off the stripes and paint body then take off tape and paint stripes.the fade can be tricky. you want enough paint in the middle of the blend to blend with other color with no thin spots in the middle. I would start with the lighter of the 2 fade colors, you can always add a little more to make it darker, but you can't make the darker lighter.

Hey KB, I'd be happy to run a body painted by either of these guys, Gary uses more traditional graphic design and TG has a more Tattoo style IMO. Both these guys have more painting talent than all the rest of us in the club combined.

I think i will try to screw it up myself, then complain about it later. If it doesn't come out the way I want, then I will look for spidey. I want to get it done before the next comp.

paint mask would work better then paint and gives a sharper line then tape

I agree with Norm. Either one would work. Even though I haven't been around all season to see any new designs.

Nice point. Also if you can hold your AB or rattle can at an angle, I've found my blends come out a little smoother.
