I got my R2 prototype tranny today, and setup The rear dig brake doesn't do anything, but the disconnect works great. Accuweather shows rain until 7am, clear till 1pm, and clear again by 2pm till 7pm. So we might get hit with a light sprinkle right around 1pm So I will be there around 1, just in time for the rain. I wanna put this tranny to the test. I guess I should bring my other R2 as a backup, if it fails horribly on me |

I use a XXX tranny from the buggy in my crawler. It works very well. They are light, small and pretty dang tough. Having the ability to use a slipper clutch is nice, too. You can set it so it slips before you break a driveline, but it wont slip before that. If it is supposed to rain all day (which it looks like it is), I don't plan on going. Not a big fan of mixing my electrics with water. My reciever, batteries, ESC and servo are all out in the open. I would rather wait for a dryer day to go. Are other people going even it looks like it is still going to rain? Thanks, Casey |

I'll try to get some pics up later tonight. I spent most of last night reworking the brake on the R2 dig system. I welded a small tab to the output shaft and threaded in a bolt to act as a stop. After a bit of grinding, and tweaking I got it working pretty good. Here is a link of it working http://www.turtlecrawler.com/product...nnect/R2-1.wmv Hua is going to fix the two issues I told him about |

| Looks like you could use some traction under those tires. Otherwise looks like it's braking a lot better. |

Yeah... Paper doesn't seem to provide much for traction, though it locks up the rear axle on carpet as well.

| I'll have to check it out when I get home. Our filter at work won't let me view any vids from photobucket. |

| I wouldn't worry about it... We've got pretty tight security here. Pretty much all of those sites are blocked here. No biggie, I'll catch it at home in a couple hours. |
