| New scale run location in KC I would like to check out
Line Creek Park It is just off of 60th and Waukomis in North Kansas City. I saw this while looking around on some aerial photos, I stopped by on thursday night on my way home. Of course the creek is frozen but the waterfalls were still open. They are nice sized, approximately a foot tall each. There looked like lots of fun stuff on the sides as well. |

Looks like a cool place! We'll have to check it out some time. Keep huntin', looks like you have access to some good aerial maps. |

Just FYI for anyone that has a chance to get to this park, it is a great location. Scaler heaven mostly (not as great for comp rigs but there is actually enough there to play around on if you brought one). An important note, the water was running faster then usual because of the snow runoff from the previous few days Here are the pictures from the FJ's first trip to the rocks. |

The pics are really great, and the FJ is just plain badass! If you would have had the leaf springs out for your chassis before I started my comp rig, I would have built a scaler first. But...A scaler is next on my list. Xtrail, leafs springs, Scout body on 1.9s. I can't wait. I hope your bringing all this stuff to the midwest challenge, I really want to see it in person. Later,Randy |

To make a long story not so long......... 1. JW and I park in the parking lot 2. Walk to the waterfall, the good rocks are on the other side and the water is running a little too fast to walk arcoss without getting wet (it was 15 degrees out) 3. The are building a bridge 200 yards to the north so we walk there, but they diverted the water around it and we can't cross there because the sides are steep muddy and the water is fast and deep. 4. Get in the car and drive the "Other entrance" that I thought I remembered seeing on the aerial 5. I think that the waterfall is not that far so we start out hike. Turns out you have to walk down a HUGE freaking hill to get down there. Then it is about 0.55 miles to the waterfall. It was worth it in the end though. The walk back really wasn't that bad and we drove the trucks up the steep hill so we didn't have to carry them and it seemed to make the walk go quicker. | |
