Default KCRC Video Thread

These are starting to get buried down in the general thread so I thought I'd make a thread to post them all up (not just mine) so post em if you got em!

Can a mod embed these? Obviously my lowly member status doesn't get embedding rights.

This is the one that started it all for me, have probably hundreds hours of editing and shooting this one. I shot it for Axials video contest and placed runner up.

I'll get these embedded Aaron. I just have to do it from home or my phone because YouTube is blocked here at the office.

**edit- looks like embedding is disabled in this forum. I'll see if I can get badger to change that. Otherwise we'll just have to link.

Aaron ? for you....do you record in 60fps and just slow it down with your editing program.

and what is the difference in recording in say 30fps vs 60, just video quality?

newb questions im sure...

Basically vid quality is all. 60FPS does make for some sweet slow motion shots

yup, I just bring it down 50% in editing. the more frames the more smooth it will look when slowed down. The newer video had a couple of slow-mo shots in it. My Go-Pro is only 30 FPS at 720P. Eventually ill spring for the 1080 and use my 960 for interior shots or something.

To answer your question full motion video is 30 FPS, so your eye wont notice a difference at 60FPS unless the object you're shooting is moving really fast, or you slow down the video.

I was using movie maker, but it is a serious POS, then I switched to Pinnacle Video Spin (freeware).

Well I ended up getting the 960, got it all charged up, and thought I would have a little time to play with while home yesterday.
But wouldn't you know it.....dam thing was DOA!

Ended up exchanging it last night and found a few min to film with it. Downloaded the free trial of sony vegas, and played around a bit.....have a lot to learn on this editing stuff. Really have no clue what i am doing....
