new times to go buy

Our 2009 series is about to begin, we will have 8 comps and the winners will be crowned in June 09'. The top 2 finishers in each class will get a invite to the Moab Nationals 2009. We will run 2.2 , super and 1.9 depending on attendance.

We will follow USRCCA rules to the tee, so make sure your rig complies. Each comp will start at 10am and tech is at 9am, drivers meeting at 9:45am.

here is a link to the USRCCA rules: http://usrcca.com/rules2008.pdf

We will be collecting dues at the first comp, $25 for the series,it includes a club sticker for each of your comp crawlers and will cover the comp costs, materials and trophies for the winners at the finals.

The season points breakdown goes like this:

: 5 points for competing.

: 12 Points for 1st
: 10 Points for 2nd
: 8 Points for 3rd
: 4 Points for 4th
: 1 Point for 5th

: 1 Point for the top finisher of a course

The season schedule goes like this:

Nov 22, 2008 MTRCRC 1 ( Butte )
Dec 13, 2008 MTRCRC 2 ( Helena )
Jan 17, 2009 MTRCRC 3 (TBD)
Feb 21, 2009 MTRCRC 4 (TBD)
Mar 14, 2009 MTRCRC 5 (TBD)
Apr 18, 2009 MTRCRC 6 (TBD)
May 2, 2009 MTRCRC 7 (TBD)
Jun 20, 2009 MTRCRC 8 FINALS ( Helena )

If you want to pay dues early, email myself, slobin3d or yawzer and we will get you set up. We have opened a account at the bank for a non-profit organization, MTRCRC, all $ will be there, we will have a treasurers report of what the $ goes for and where it is spent for the members.

If you have any questions and need any help setting up your rigs, we are all here to help you in anyway we can.

We are looking forward to a great series, see you on the rocks.

Need a little clarification....
Post 4 says it's $10 to enter the comp
Post 6 implies you have to join MTRCRC and pay $25
Which is it? Or do you have to join and then pay the entry?

$25 to enter the series plus $10 for each comp was my impression. Kinda makes sense in my head

heres how im going to look at it
this event is open to anyone
no one has to join the MTRCRC thing
our event is $10.00 to compete for prizes and trophys
if you chose to be a MTRCRC member and compte in this event you are NOT competing for our trophys and prizes.... you our competing for points for the MTRCRC series

this event in butte is a get togather and to have fun doing what we like
and is put on by the NITRO NUT'Z R/C CLUB of butte
the MTRCRC thing was added with out asking me or my members
witch is fine by me but we all just want to have fun

The MTRCRC club does not require anyone to pay $25 for the butte event, sorry for the confusion. I spoke with Yawzer " Ron " who filled me in on the Butte crawl, apparently he spoke with Mike, but after seeing the posts, I think he may have got his wires crossed.

edit:

Thanks for your time today Mike, the Butte event was designed as a informal GTG crawl. Mike just wanted to have a bunch of guys come and have fun and compete. Anyone who is a MTRCRC member or wants to be, can use the points from this event twords their 09' series standings, but BY NO MEANS is the MTRCRC a requirement at all. We just want to GTG with everyone else and crawl also.

We will have another event for the MTRCRC points series for anyone who cannot attend the butte event.

Thanks for clearing that up, Ben....
I know we have 3 or 4 from FVRCRC that are seriously talking about attending. I may go, also. It just depends if I get the rest of my parts for my new 2.2 rig by then

So - are we all confused now?? I heard about this comp / crawl from Reese (manager of Bozeman Hobbytown) & passed the info onto Ben, with the hopes of getting more people involved in crawling - who knows how it became a full out comp / GTG. This should be fun to meet a bunch or new people and have a casual GTG & comp all at the same time.

I will have MTrcrc membership forms available for those who wish to join & Ben will have club stickers/decals

As Ben has said - all of the "old timers" would love to help the newcomers get their rigs ready for either fun or comp or scaler - maybe we will have time either before or after the GTG for a show, tell & assist session.

There will be several (looks like 4 or 5) people from Bozeman attending - see you all there!!

So it sounds like we can compete for the trophys and prizes and also use this comp score towards the MTRCRC points series. Is this correct?
