The 8x8 chassis is in the works but I don't have plans to build an 8x8 anytime soon. I get a nose bleed just thinking about having to build one

Well the K2-6 will be available in the next few weeks the design has been finalized and things are moving ahead. I'm thinking about offering links with this kit as well (as an option for those that don't want to build them).

More to come soon

Did you make the links custom lengths or did you use some stock links from another kit??

I made mine from delrin rod and axial link grub screws. The trick is making the links the proper length for the tires that you'll use. For example I used the RC4WD 4.25" tires and so my links had to be custom made. Smaller or larger tires would warrant a different link setup.

If I'm not mistaken I used 98mm eye to eye on the #1 and #2 axle. Then for #3 I used 78mm eye to eye

By the way I drove this on the rocks for the first time last night, and it was amazing!!!!! It's more of a comp rig than scale

has the cases and then check out joes-rc-semi-truck-shop on ebay. He was selling complete semi axles for like $35.00 :shocks:

Thanks for this info. Now he will quit whining to me. I told him he'd have to build his own.

Hi.. I know no one has posted on this thread for ages now.. Just bought a 6x6 chassis from rc4wd and I am starting sorting out parts for the build. Just wanted to know a few things as from what I read you were one of the original builders of this chassis. Am I right if I say I can use 2 rear semi axle for front and rear and a centre axle from a tamiya 1/14 semi like globliner? The other thing that's puzzling me is the links. Will be using 4 links like your setup and according to what u said on here you need specific length according to what size tyre and wheel u use. I am planning to use 1.9 wheels and tyres from a axial scx10...Can u recommend the length of the links I need to use? Or how to calculate the
Length? Will be planning an 8x8 if this build goes welll... Thanks really loved your rig and went straight and the chassis and cannot wait till it arrives...
