Another quick update.

Added a few details and final colour.

Headlight buckets are currently drying.

Fuel tank/ battery holders didn’t work out so I need to remake them also need to make a pair of air cleaners, an interior, some windows and to paint the chassis.

Another small update,

Rebuilt the rear propshaft so that it is all metal now.
Made and mounted the aircleaners, fuel tanks and a pair of airtanks. Also fitted the windscreen, this hasn’t come out as well as I hoped but it’s not to bad for first attempt. Finally constructed a filler piece for between the bed and the chassis.

Toolbox on opposite side to airtanks.

Rear Lights

Battery for lighting installed over rear axle to improve traction.

Very cool. I have been wanting to build a multi-axle vehicle and just haven't pulled the trigger on it yet. After seeing a couple this weekend and this awesome machine I am going to go ahead and do it. I of course won't be doing the awesome rear axle but a 6x6 all the same.

nice touches man.

that seems like a pretty baby sized air filter. i was thinking something the size of a film (you know what cameras used to use) canister would look better.

either way though, great work that tool box is awesome. all styrene?

Air filters are smaller (approx 1/2" dia) than I originally planned but the space is limited because of the rear view mirrors so the 1" ish diameter film can would not fit nicely.

Apart from the hinges and latch, the toolbox is all styrene. hinges and latch are brass and stainless steel.

Very quick update,

New tyres arrived and mounted up.

Also more or less wired up the lights and have made good progress on the interior. More photo's later .

Wow Pete

Very nice job. That thing is a beast that can go anywhere. The rear suspension is just so cleaver and works so well.

Thanks for the comments.

Well it's done (well almost).

Stoplight wireing needs sorting and the front tyres just catch on full lock so I need to trim the inner arches.

Exterior

Interior and driver

Lights

and the mandatory flex shot.

Hope you enjoyed the build, now all I need to do is get it muddy.

Well I didn't like the way the front suspension worked, (it worked well but didn't fit with the look). I have re-worked the front suspension using leaf springs.

I'll let the pictures speak for themselves:-
