| My 6x6 MAN Build
Here is the start to my 6x6 Build.... Motor: Integy 55 turn (soon to be Castle 3800kv) Axles: SCX10 Frame: SCX10 w/ Add Ons Cab: Bruder MAN from Telecrane truck Tires: Rockcrusher 2.2 Finally getting this thing to sit as a roller, and working up the link mounts. I originally had the rear axle tied to the center, but realized that this would be less than ideal from a crawling standpoint. Now, the two are independent, except for the driveline |

Nice start, is that rc4wd trans? What are you doing for rear shock setup?

Yeah, it's the Disruptor trans, and I'm running their transfer case as well. I think it's going to be a bit too low geared for the 55 turn (will move at a glacial speed....) so a lower turn motor will be in order! For the rear-most axle, I'm running the shocks on top and parallel to the frame rail, and then a cantilever to the rear axle. Get a bit more travel that way. (Just in front of the rear axle mounts are two taps sticking up...those are the rear shock mounts, and then the shocks will lay flat.) I'll try to put up a few pics of it tonight. |

Looks great. Will the crazy articulation wreck havok with your driveshaft between the rear axles? |

Here are a few more pics now that it's "camo"....i'll post some more action shots later! Glad you guys like the build so far JMZ - Originally, I had a heck of a time getting enough droop and up-travel while keeping from over extending the driveshaft. The trick was to set the frame-side link pivot points as close to the rear yoke of the center axle as possible, allowing the shaft and links to move in a similar arc. A bit of tweaking here and there and it works pretty good now. I also set the links up so that the rear axle snout rotates down with uptravel and vice-versa. |
