Default kenworth winch truck all wheel drive

hey guys
ive been working on this truck for a couple of weeks now, I figure its time to post
I started with the basic king kit, parted about 50% out

any way , this a little how-too on the all wheel drive chassis.
time for the mock -up rails, the black rails are the stock king/globe liner rails. as you can see the stock holes, the blue rails are the prototype , to make the chassis an all wheel drive
we have to move some of the holes
the rear suspension holes have to be moved all the way down as pictures

the front holes have to be moved to the center of the rails as pictured

now on the read suspension , sense you move it downward, the center crossmember has to be flip and the nipples need to be cut off

heres what the rear should look like

for the front axle I went with a tlt-1 Tamiya , im also adding a 3rd rear axle , axles will be painted orange . this truck will be crazy colors

to make this work using a tlt-1 axle , you need to do a little modding, you have to mount the axle flesh against the leafs using no blocks, the leafs have a bipple on them, so you habe drill a little sink hole . also the tlt- axle holes are not drill all the way through, so you have to drll it out

axle is mounted, here the new rails I cut and drilled , and also adde all alum crossmembers

the 3rd axle, tag axle , you use the same parts of the rear suspension accept for the leafs springs, here you need mount the plate 4 1/8 inch forward, you also need to drill a hole as pictured

next you mount the stock control arms as pictured

sense theres is no leaf, your probably wondering what is keeping it pushed downward, its the shock, the shock it self is plenty of force

here the steering servo is mount and hooked up

front view

using for a front rim you have to use the rear inner rim, ive added some nut and bolts to give a little more detail, but myself wont be using this wheels

starting to come to life here, here you can see I using the semi bigrib 3-speed not the f350, I have a rod that replaces the top rod making it a through and through

another view , for pulling power im using an 80 turn motor from rc4wd

rear view

for the front wheels im using the rear inner bud wheel fom rc4wd, ive put a super single tire on it, and added a couple of spacers to make it wider

while im waiting on cab to come in I will get started on the dual winch platform

time to show I covert this king cab into a k/w , pictured is a stock cab

removed sleeper and fender, this is easy to do, I use a utility knife , scare it / pop it

next the grill backer and hood sides

all apart

next I titled the nose 17mm , replaced new hood sides , mounted the grill backer and cut the back out of the cab , the back of the cab has to extended and the roof has to be raised

the back of the cab I use part of the sleeper, it works perfect , ive also lifted the back of the roof 6mm

next I cut the rear windows out and dipped the side door windows

the k/w has double head light buckets, so I used the stock rear bumper for the buckets

today I started on the winch , im using the Tamiya worm gear set up, it has the option for different gear ratios, I went with 1400:1 ratio, this kit was 12.00usd
ive also installed 2x back up lights and 4 running lights

ive added the mesh , air lines and trailer hook up

here I made a tool box

I paint the cage yellow

platform is orange

Wow, the more I see of your work the more I want to build one.

I want some fuel tanks...do you know where I can find some without buying a kit ? I remember seeing a web site some time back, but can't seem to find it now.

TIA Joe

great build as usual. What do you use to cut your styrene materials with? Your part edges and fitment always look flawless.
