Default 2010 Midwest Challenge bid!

KC group still seems interested in trying to have the comp here in Omaha again. Are we willing to put forth the effort?

Ty, Justin, and I talked about simpler ways to construct a course and I offered a place to construct it at my shop. I would think that three more people added to what worked on it last year would at least double the help from last year.

I feel that it could be pulled off if we get together and start dialog with all parties and put together a game plan. If the past workers of the challenge are tired and don’t have the time and energy to pull it off again then that not a problem, let’s just kick it around.

Has anyone contacted Tim or ownership with the Plex to start talks with them about hosting the Midwest Challenge? I had talked with both briefly on the subject and they were unsure of the funds and commitment the Plex was willing to do. They seemed to understand what happened last year and there seemed to have had some miscommunication on the actual income/loss from the 2009 Midwest Challenge. If those that had the opportunity to work last year’s event are just burnt out then we can just stop now. Josh made a comment on how much he felt the event could pay for the event to be held at the Plex and it seemed possible, let’s talk.

Maybe let’s get a signup sheet to see if there is anyone willing to commit to work on the course.

Let's head over to the club website to discuss this.
RCC is definitely not the right place for these discussions.

Were the people from last yr happy, and would they come back ? plex itself, courses (liked and what needs improved) the places to stay, etc....
ask main board ? or any feedback that has already been expressed toward having it here again ?

Then money/costs deal with hobbyplex.

I believe Jim is correct. Not the right venue for this discussion.
