Yeah I found the same. Scott, Getting anxious for the crawling to start. Was tring to see if you guys have started to get a comp schedule together yet. This flipp'n heat in Havasu is killing me. I have been getting out as much as possible. Plus keeping our group together is tough, right there is just 2 of us active. May have to become a remote sincityrcrc member. Late, Scott |

Yea it sucks having the forum down and who knows when it will be backup and running. It's been hot here in vegas and no one has really been out and done any crawling. Dieselfuel and I went out a few weekends ago with superdave1 and did some crawling but thats been it just to hot. There was a comp schedule out but with the forum down I don't know what the dates are. I think theres a comp the second week of September I just don't remember for sure. Diesel's on vacation right now and should be back on Tuesday. I know we want to make a trip and crawl with you guys in Havasu. |

don't worry it'll probably just get canceled, for some reason we've got very little interest here locally in competing right now.

Vegas is a lot more dependent on the economy being good than most other parts of the country and it seems like it hit our local crawlers pretty hard. Some of the guys are out of work and others are working double the hours at their own jobs as companies try to survive with less workforce. Add that all in with the Vegas heat and no one has been out for most of the summer (its just like the northern states guys not crawling in the snow as much, we just take the summers off ). The first fall comp locally is on Sept 13th at Bootleg Canyon at 8am. It seems our site went down again so if you need directions PM Dieselfuel, Letshandleit, Franky Rizzo or myself for directions or assistance. The comp site is actually in the hills above Boulder City just south of Las Vegas and is easily accesable by passenger car via well maintained gravel road and parking is right by the comp site, no hiking up the hill (Yes im directing that at the St George guys who feel we should all be half Mountain Goat ). The rock is a crazy mix of just about any type you can think of so tire choice is wide open but dont forget your sunscreen and a hat. |

The heat alone makes it tough to plan anything. Will try to make it out. Just a busy month. If not this comp. maybe the next. I'll see what I can do about drag'n some more Havasu guys out.

yeah our first one is the 13th like culetto said. the GPS coordinates are 35.990557, -114.868542. enter boulder city on US95 southbound, turn left on yucca st, turn right on industrial rd, turn left on canyon rd. when canyon becomes a dirt road, keep going up into the canyon past the parking lot, you'll see us on the left side of the road up there. with questions call me 702 419 0216. |
