Hey guys, I'm gonna be moving to Reno next week and am looking for good hobby shops, places to crawl and people to go crawling with! I'll be there late next week (7-1 and would like to go crawling the next weekend as I will be there by myself untill the family can move out with me.

Ckrc is in Reno. I'd say it's a good hobby shop. Not great but good. I'm in Truckee, about 30 min from Reno. Tons of places to crawl around here. Shoot me a pm if you feel like cruzing out this way. |

CKRC is pretty okay. Traction Raceway in Panther Valley has indoor off road and a mild selection of go fast stuff for SC, buggy, grubby stuff. I'm out in Fallon and trail Rattlesnake hill regularly. Fun rocky old volcanic cone. Good for 1:1 also. Adjacent to town and a few hundred yards from my house. We also dabble in electric inroad and nitro off road on Sundays.

Thanks guys. Since I don't know shit about this area could you give me a landmark so I can find Rattlesnake hill with my GPS? Either a set of cross streets, an address or a business.

Sure N 39.48864 W 118.75246 or cross streets would be Indian Lakes road & Rattlesnake Way Once you head into Fallon from Reno, keep going on E Williams Ave. (main strip) You will pass Fox Peak gas station and the Hospital on the other side of town, another half mile or so you will see Rio Vista take that left then half mile, road splits @ Rattlesnake Hill (here you can see the rock outcropping to the right of the BIG cross on the hill) take right on Indian Lakes Road 1/4 mile then take left on Rattlesnake Way, then make your way to cross If you want pm me or Rhett314 when you want to make it up this way I'm working now till Aug 4th but can make it up there for a couple hours before work LMK made you a cheeesy map Last edited by prusik333; 07-20-2012 at 05:20 AM. Went to CKRC and everyone there was pretty cool. They have a good selection of rock crawlers and parts. I like it! They told me about a few places to go crawling and I checked one of them out. I also went up to Tahoe and found a few good places to go crawling up there.

On vacation for a week and should be home next week. If you're looking for a drive to the desert hit me up sometime. Available most days since the wife is n summer vacation. Hopefully I can spend more on the rig soon. Wish I was able to get lights installed before coming here. Super nice outside right now.
