Default March 8Th Preview!

A few of us went to the Rock house this evening to take a few photos for you guys. James & Pete think they know where the gates will go, but nothing is all figured out yet.

Look at this view New Mexico is so beautiful.

This is what we are going to crawl over.

A little fun!

So, traction similar to White Wash or we going to at least experience a little bit of grip?

Guess us out of towners better bring our "A-Game" if you all already have the courses picked to practice on!!

Like a lot of the rock around here, you never know what you'll get until the day you show up. If there is a lot of silt on the rocks, it is slick as hell. Otherwise, it grips enough to break parts.

I was out there on Chrismas with a few inches of snow holding my own until I broke. We will be fine, I do not see this being as challenging as White Wash, but that depends on gate placement.

Cant wait to unveil my new rig on the 8th

That shot right there is of one of the toughest obstacles in that area. I've only seen a handful of rigs get up it. It's all about the right line and a little finese.... It'll make you crazy!

That's not the pic he was supposed to post up with me in it.

I agree, there are loads of very easy spots around there. There are also some hellish ones if you're not too scared to do a little hiking. (BTW, plan on it.) The different courses will be in very different areas. Probably course one/two in the same general area above the parking lot. Course 3 is below the parking area somewhere. I'm feeling extra evil, so I might have to lay out course 3 myself. You guys want technical and I'm happy to provide it.

Kudos to rockcrawler505's gf for making a line that no one else could make, myself included.

The next event should be a ton of fun with many a place to run your Crawler.

By the way Pete you asked for it! Can anyone guess what Pete is doing, and why James is standing there watching?

Yeah, it can't be all that super sticky sand stone you guys have gotten used to. ;)

Seriously, I'd like to see what you all are considering a hard course. I've yet to see anything that you actually consider a challenge. Care to share pics? I plan on making sure the groups are mixed up because I would very much like to see people actually competing with someone new rather than all the out of town guys competing with each other.

I'll talk to everyone else involved. I'd be happy to do course set up and step down from competing in the events officially so we don't have to worry about someone pre-running.

LOL , I knew eventually I would get under someones skin for talkin TRASH

With the lack of traction on that granite i'm sure the lines are as difficult as they come.
I was just really being a smart ass , I'll quit :-(
