Default 4cRc2 2010 Points Series Schedule

The time is almost upon us , I thought I better get a schedule out so everyone can plan for it. This season we are doing 10 comps in the series. If a comp is canceled due to weather it will NOT be made up.All comps will be on Saturday's this season , same as last. If this won't work for you , I'm sorry.I know we discussed alternating , but its confusing as hell. We will be running 2.2 pro, 2.2 Pro Shafty and 1.9 classes. 2.2 Novice will run also , but will not be eligible for the points series. When a novice driver does advance to the pro class he will then start to accumulate points in the series. Dont worry Novice drivers , I'm sure the pro's wont make every comp, you will have a chance to " Do Work" The top five from the points series will advance to the State finals. Which will be held here in Farmington this year , in June.
Shafty drivers : You will be competing along with the MOA's but will be recognized for your efforts. If a Shafty driver comes in 3rd, and 1st and 2nd are MOA's , then the 3rd place driver will win the shafty class. The overall goes to the MOA rig.
At the end of the season we will crown a Shafty Champ and an overall Champ , they could be the same driver/rig you never know.
Club Dues : I think we will do $20 this year. This will cover a BBQ at the end of the season( for members only ) , paper( for Shawn for the flyers ) gate markers , stickers ,misc expenses, and leftovers go to the season winners.
You dont have to be a member if you dont want to , if you expect ( or hope ) to do well enough to make it to State , then you better become a member. Only members are invited to the BBQ comp and have a chance at State.
Comp Fees: FREE , member or not

We WILL be using the new Tech procedure at the first comp .

If the Damm Graphic designer ever gets the damm logo done I will do a run of shirts. They will be a pre-order this year , I will have more info on that later.

On to the schedule , locations TBA
#1 January 16th
#2 January 30th
#3 February 13th
#4 Skip for Axial WCCQ
#5 March 13th
#6 March 27th
#7 April 10th
#8 April 24th
#9 May 8th
#10 May 22nd

State finals on June 12th , location TBA

Any Questions , just ask

Just making sure I am reading this right... The overall top 5 will be advancing to state? Are we going to drop any events or just do best of 10? Also, we have been awarding an extra series point for people that judge. It was originally put in place to motivate EVERYONE to judge but its just been the same old(Mark and Dwane) guys. What does everyone think about dropping this bonus and just awarding low score bonuses?

Looking forward to the new season for sure. I'll probably be absent a lot with the baby being due in early March. But I'll come represent when I can. I'm sure most of you guys and gals won't miss me one bit

The other issue I have with it is when someone jumps in to help for two runs. Do they get the same bonus as a someone that judged all day?

I like it better too. Was wondering about the three straight weekends with the last schedule. I'll still be missing a few I'm sure. We going to drop any scores this time or just do it heads up?

I agree, it makes it easier to know where you stand mid season.
