Default 4crc2 camp and crawl

Well I think I have a great place to host the camp and crawl. The dates for this comp are 7/31-8/1, but I will be up there Friday to get a nice large camp site. We will be doing this in the bottom of Lime Creek. I will post a map and directions this weekend. There is fishing on the creek and miles of rock. Let me know who is in so i can get an idea of how many will be coming. You will need to bring a roll of quarters for this comp.

Well it looks like only a few people are going to make it so the 31-1 will be the dates. I am going up friday morning to set up camp and do some fishing, so if you let me know when you plan to be there I will make an effort to be at the camp.
Directions: You can Google lime creek campground for a map. but here are the directions

1. Go N on 550 out of Durango toward silverton. You will go about 30-35 miles
2. Go past the ski area (28 miles). About 1 mile after you pass Cascade resort there is a 160 degree turn and a large pullout/ parking area with outlaw outfitters building. This is the start of lime creek road.
3. You stay on this road for 6 miles. (to the campground)
4. You pass a large lilly pond, and the parking for the scout lake trail. The road gets really rough from this point on.
5. You will follow the road down into the canyon. After it levels out and you see the creek it is about 1/4 mile to the main campground.
6. There is another camp spot 1/4 past the main and this is where we will set up. This is a big open meadow with plenty of room.

Warning: If you plan on towing a trailer you will need to go to the north entrance which is on the other side of coal bank pass. There is a large green sign just before you get to the bottom of the pass. If you start going up Molas pass you went to far. It is 6 miles from the north end to the campground.

You will not need 4X4, but the road is very rough and rocky so i would not take a low clearance vehicle.

You will need to bring anything you need as far as food there are no stores or restaurants near by.

Cell service is spotty, so if you need more info PM me before friday morning.

Hope to see you all there.

There should be plenty of camping. I am going to set up in a big spot so there will be room for all. There is a firewoks ban, and the wood are pretty dry. There is not fire ban so we can all sit around the fire. drink beer, and tell lies. If you are planning to fish you should bring light tackle, or fly rod if you are a fly fisherman this is a great small creek to fish.

Dont forget your roll of quarters for some friendly wager/shat talking.

how big is the rv? it is a big spot, but the road coming in is pretty bad. If you do bring a trailer/rv you defiantly need to come in from the north end. There are a few turns that a trailer/rv will not make if you come in from the south side of the road.
