Default NMRCC 2011/2012 comp schedule

that's right we be compin soon. I'm posting all the dates now and will add locations closer to actual date. We're going to be doing the same format as 4crc and have 13 comps, combining winter and summer series, and having your best 6 count for finals.
*must compete at least six times to be eligible for states*

Date/Location

1. 11/13 Rock House
2. 11/27 White Wash
3. 12/11 Supper Rock
4. 1/8 Poo Water
5. 1/22 Pete's Playground
6. 2/5 Keun's Krux
7. 2/19 Rock House
8. 3/4 Rio Puerco
9. 3/18- moved to 3/25 Pete's Playground
10. 4/1 Supper Rock
11. 4/22 Keun's Krux
12. 5/6 White Wash
13. 5/20 Poo Water

We're going to be doing things a little different this year. Following 4c's lead again, we're going to run all courses at once, when you are ready, no groups. The judges will stay with the course and whenever you are ready and the course is free, run it. For judging, I'd like all to be familiar with the rules so anyone can judge if needed. Take this test. 2011 USRCCA Rules & Judges Test

Also we're going to try running sportsman and pro classes separate. Run one or both, whatever makes you happy. I'd also like to run at least one scaler course at each comp. If there is more interest we'll run more courses.

Club dues are 20$ given to myself or Thomas at any comp. Dues will allow you to be eligible for states, and make you a club member. You'll also get some swag.

More to come...

if any qualifiers can not make it, let me know. any questions, let me know.

keun is the one that made me aware of nmrcc, the racers, that have been around longer. NMRCRC is the name they, Keun, DJ and other OGs were using. Not sure how we started using nmrcc.

i was not at that meeting. but since i am hoping to get our name out there, with the help of Big Boys Toys and others, i didn't want to run into conflict with the other group.

Roglum, I can understand your position with the name. But nmrcc race is a group out of gaylord michigan, and they go by nmrcc race, not nmrcc. We had stickers made, shirts made, Jorge just made up the nmrcc hats for the state finals. We voted nmrcrc out back in 08 and I don't think its fair to everyone to just switch it back. If anything have another vote. Let the poeple speak.

Ok I will step off my soapbox now

I'm not trying to get in a pissing match, but
just because you want something does not mean you can have it.
There are other groups using that name, not just no miss, that were using it before we were. This should have been looked into back when yous had voted on it. I will see if there will be an issue with us using nmrcc. I was attempting to avoid headaches with any infringement.
Please hold...

A pissing match huh....that's funny, what are you 12? And I never said I wanted anything, all I said was if there was going to be a change there needs to be a vote.

Default vote??

there was a vote. unfortunately you werent there. The name change was decided because there IS another club in nm operating under that name. we aer trying to get more people in the area interested in the sport. if we are using the same call letters it will be confusing for people too look us up. im in favor of going back to NMRCRC to better identify us as ROCKCRAWLERS.

actually there are three (not including us) that use that acronym

North Mississippi Radio Control Club

North Michigan Radio Control Car Club (which is actually NMRCCC, but their myspace only shows NMRCC

and

New Mexico Radio Collectors Club (they collect old ham gear and radios of that nature)

i could not find another crawler club using NMRCC . . .

so, after further investigation, we'll just keep nmrcc. if i understand correctly the actual club name is New Mexico Radio Controlled Rock Crawlers but use the moniker NMRCC.
