Default axial stage 2?????

Ok I have every mod for the stage two build done using extra parts left over from my axial kit except the extended upper links. All I have bought so far for the stage two kit was a set of tcs crawlers bent links for $15.99, a set of internal springs for $4, and 4 dubro 4-40x1 1/2 inch bolts. Now after all my rambling lol I am going to cut my old lower links and use them for uppers. Should I cut them to 76mm and forget about using the 6x6mm spacer or should I cut them to 70mm and cut a few 6mm spacers out of the extra lower link to use?

Thanks for your help
Justin

Ok I didn't know if the spacer served a purpose or not. What size tap will I need to re-tap the end of the link I cut?

Thanks
Justin

i dont think it does, but if you need to you can always cut them down to 70mm and use the spacer.

3mm, also use a brake line/tubing cutter to cut the aluminum.

well, now that i think about it, if you cut them at 76 it might be to wide,if you using the stock 3 link, just try it. like i said earlier you can cut them down if needed.

are you using 4 link or 3 link?

stock 3 link. I've already cut them down with a pipe cutter but sears didn't have a 3mm tap and everything else is closed so I couldn't tell ya if the 76mm works or not. bu thanks for your help
