| Did I fry it
Ok, I hooked my esc XL1 up to a 7 cell battry 3000mah battery, it ran for about 5 minutes then stopped. I checked the heat and it was quite hot not sure how hot thow, The specs say it will handle up to 7 cells and up to 10 volts any ideas? Im running two 45t's the xl1 and a futaba skysport radio. it ran ok usung a 6 cell, i was trying to boost the power and run time. thanks in advance.

affraid to say, proly fried it. i just smoked two of mine. there is a up side though, if it is fried, take the cover off the esc, and start touching the circut bored to a 12v car batt, and look for the mystery blue smoke.

I took it apart and there was white goo coming out of the heat sinks, oops, i connected my batteries up +-+-+- for the 7 cells and checked the voltage and it read about 8.4 so i cant see were there would be a short. I guess im ganna have to get a rooster from novak, it can handle 7 or 8 cells correct?
