Default backwards transmission / torque twist

Hey guys ,I heard that mounting the tranny backwards will eliminate torque twist .
Sound feasible to you ?

torque is torque ....clock-wise or counter clock-wise drive backwards in a straight line..same thing right? what it will do is move the cg to the other side
laws of physics never change

I call BS. the twist is caused because the pinion in the axles struggles to rotate the sprocket. this causes the other end of the driveshaft (transmission end) to also rotate. turning the tranny does nothing as far as torque twist is concerned, just a myth.

If you flip your tranny around it still has to spin the same way(either clockwise or counter clockwise) to make the wheels go forward as it did before.

i agree, when my wife &i put mine together a few weeks ago went spec. by the book, but when i started looking at everybody else on here i thought i had put the tranny in backwards &at firtst glance i thought it was up to me what end i made my front &rear, since their both the same so i just mounted the servo to the right end instead of taking out the tranny again . i too still have torque twist bad, i did wrap the front rims with lead solder, i need to lower it yet thou, but again i dont think it matters on the way its mounted,

Exactly, now it twists in reverse, which most of us don't really mind because we try not to use reverse. I mounted mine "backwards" on one rig just to try it and I don't get twist in forward, only reverse.

look up some drag racing setup online and they examples of how to add squat or add rise under load. With the right combination and playing around you can almost get rid of twist. I can climb over 45 deg grades and not pull the front tires. so play with the orientation of you link setup

Good advise. I've also found that link length also has a big part in squat/anti-squat and torque twist, as well as shock placement. Try mounting your shocks as far outboard on the axle as possible, and generally as vertical as you can. Some people (including me) also use asymmetrical link geometry. The best advise I can give is to play with it, and see what works.
