| X-Trail or F350?????
Hey everybody! I'm pretty new here - but have been in RC for about 30 years or so. I'm ready for a new toy here pretty soon and am a bit torn - should I get the AX-10 and the TCS X-Trail chassis or should I get a Tamiya High Lift? I won't be doing any serious rock crawling with with either one - just some trails and toolin' around the neighborhood. I want to build a scale looking vehicle with lights and a very realistic body. So here is my question for all the experts out there... What bodies are out there (hard plastic or lexan) that give a good scale look and fit the X-Trail chassis? ALL the info and ideas are appreciated! Thanks! JimO Erie, PA |

I have both trucks and i like the High-Lift better for a trail truck. It looks more realistic and handles more like a real truck but the x-trail is a good truck to i use the x-trail as my crawler

I also have both :-P The F-350 stock is.................. just lacking. It is stiff and doesn't flex well. The 3-speed is cool but not very useful on the trail. My X-trail with leafs I believe is much more fun. Although my X-Trail is not a "stock truck" and I am comparing it to a stock F-350 I would much rather have my X-trail over my High Lift. Also I think that the money spent on the Axial stuff plus the X-Trail is better spent then on the F-350. So much needs to be changed on the F-350 to get it to do anything. |

Harley - Thanks for the response. I saw your truck on here the other night - very sharp! What body is that you have on there? It certainly has the look of what I'm lookin' to build. JimO Erie, PA |

It's a Proline Bushwacker body.
