| motor direction?
i have a stupid question what way should the endbell face when installed towards the front of the truck or the back cause right now i have it facing the front like most other people do but would turning the tranny 180 deg. and wire the motor backwards help with the torq twist? let me know what you think it might not help much cause the drive lines are still spinning the same direction but the motor will be torqing the opposite way |

It really doesn't matter. I have mine towards the front because I would rather have the engine weight towards the front. I really don't think it will affect torq twist by putting to the rear except for having the weight of the engine towards that side.

When I Built Mine ( In A Hurry I Might Add) I Acctualy Put It On Backwards And Ran It Like That For A Couple Weeks Before I Seen Pics Of Other Peoples And Noticed I Was Wrong. Well The Other Night I Switched It Around Thinkind About Tourqe Twist Myself, And It Did Nothing Different. Its Definately No Different As Far As I Could Tell.

I bought my Scorp used and the tranny was reversed, I have never run it different. Now it is set up for my new VS dig already.

| It doesn't really matter all that much... Sure, the initial jolt of the motor starting it's rotation with throw the chassis to one side, but a majority of you torque twist comes from the drive shafts. When you drive forward, the drive shafts will still spin in the same direction. One way to help combat torque twist is to add heavier springs (or spacers) or heavier oil to the rear & side that's 'leaning'. |

100% BS. flipping the tranny don't do jack for twist. The drivetrain is still spinning the same direction. Does flipping the tranny really move weight foward??????????........Side to side maybe. Last edited by Reflection; 02-24-2008 at 10:48 AM. |
