| taming torque twist.
so i was out crawling my wk yesterday and I noticed that when crawling in off camber or steeper situations it seems to have a lot of torque twist. and I wanted to know how I could improve on it and tame the twist a bit. I have the stock wk chassis. any help would be great. thanks in advance.

i have been wondering the same thing..although i do have threaded shocks but the only part taht im worried about is if i tighten the shock then i wont have as soft of springs..i saw something somewhere where he made a mount that connected to his upper links and he got rid of torque twist like that..

Torque twist is all about link geometry. I don't even understand it fully. But I know that Someone suggested I try spacing my upper four-link bars apart a little more at the axle end and that helped my rig a LOT. And don't worry too much about stiffening up your springs a bit. YOu only need to tighten down on the right rear a bit. And you want most of your flex to come from the front axle of the rig, anyway. |

Well, you just want the rear sprung stiffer than the front, that's all. It really helps keep the rig stable for side-hilling and off-camber situations. And just because what I did on MY truck worked, doesn't mean it's going to work on YOUR truck. Do you have a pic of your link set-up? |

That isn't gonna fix the problem at hand. That will make it more stable but will have zero effect on the TT. On a WK ditch the 3 link and 4 link it. Once you do that you can start to play with links and such. Other advise would be to get rid of the stock chassis and get something you can actually adjust.

Not sure if its coincidence but my torque twist disappeared when I went with a droop suspension. It made a BIG difference. Sean |

If you had the same chassis beforehand...it's hard to compress a shock that isn't extended.
