Yes you may run used electronics. Might try ebay or some local guys in your area. Some hobby shops take things in on consignment also so you may che there as well. Down side to it is you never really know what you are buying unless you buy it from soneone you know personaly, and new has the advantage of a warranty. Good luck with what ever you decide.

Keep in mind that if you will be using a crawler motor, A stock speed control will work for now. It will help you meet your budget until you are ready to up-grade. Good Luck |

buying used electronics can be a bad thing or a good thing. Buy them from someone on say ebay ..... not a real good idea unless they have alot of good feedback. Buy from some one on here, you might be better off. Buying used electronics can be tough cause you can always tell from looking at the outside if it's smoked on the inside.

Also, from what I know Ebay will NOT mess with used r/c stuff. If someone says it works and it doesn't, you're screwed. That's just what I've heard from others on here. My advice would be buy from someone you know or through someone you know.

I personally don't buy used electronics. I might if they were REALLY cheap. In fact, when bidding on trucks that have electronics in them,... I usually expect the worse from the electronics. I just don't like used electronics. With that said... I know there are plenty of people selling perfectly good used electronics. I just don't want to chance it. |

I've picked up a couple of transmitters and recievers off ebay and have had great luck. Came as described and saved me a fair amount of money. I'd do it again. x2 on the advice to buy only from someone with lots of good feedback.

I personally have not purchased used electronics. But I would definitely consider it if I was on a tight budget.
