Default Dewalt 2 speed tranny

Sorry if this has been posted But I could not find in a search.

I finished building my first rig about a month ago, and now that its done I'm lost and want to build another, but this time I'm going to do most of the fabrication and design myself.

Being the kind of guy that wants the best of both worlds I really want some solid torque for climbing and crawling, but at the same time I want it to be able to go fast when I want it to.

So I pulled the 2 speed tranny out of a dewalt 14 volt drill, got a nice low gear and a nice high gear.

I was planning on hooking it up to a AX10 tranny as a make shift transfer case, maybe some WK axles, though its all in pre beta at the moment.

What I'm curious to know is whether anyone has tried this and if it actually works.
