Default tuber pannels

What is best material to make the required side, top, hood pannels with?

What is the best way to atach them? I have seen zipties or screws.

If screws are used, what size and how do you hold them to the chassis; welded tabs or welded nuts to the chassis?

The reason I ask is that my chassis is due to be welded by my neighbor on tuesday and would like to have every thing ready so as to only bug him once for this.

thanks

I have seen panels made from energy drink cans backed with a thin sheet of lexan.....both screwed and zip-tied.....you can weld tabs on ur chassis to run a bolt thru and put a nylock nut on the backside....use a 3mm or 2mm button head screw so as not to hang up on the rocks...

I like the bolt on panel method the best. I braze a small peice on the chassis and drill/tap it for 3mm button head. think it makes a cleaner looking job when done, but the guy doing your welding may not want to spend the extra time welding tiny pieces on. here's a pic of my last tuber, you can see how I do mines
