Default tire assembling ?

Newbie, AX10 kit

I'm building my tires today, cut the foams (star pattern), next is to add weight, but should I drill a hole in the rims for air to escape? Not sure if the same method for my (T4/1/8 buggy) will work for crawling. Any advice would be cool. Thanks -RCHuffer

I drilled a small 1/16 hole in my ax 10 front wheels....the wheels with the hole collapse faster and rebound slower. With no hole your tires will collapse slower and rebound faster......I believe it is a matter of preference and driving style.....

some people are running a bigger hole...

i am running (2) 1/8" in each of my wheels... it works good for me and my setup... but you just have to experiment... find what you like...

I would start without a hole, and if you dont like it try a 1/16" hole, and then work your way up until you find the size that you like the best

the good thing with beadlocks is its fairly easy to change something with your tires/rims because there is no glue to worry about, however you do have to deal with all the tiny screws

I find that with no holes they bounce too much.

i have 3, 1/8 inch holes in each wheel its easy enough either cover a hole w/ a little electrical tape from the inside for adjustablility.
or use a dab of jb weld to cover a hole for a more permanent fix
