No, because they suck no matter what you do to them.

There's a reason you haven't heard much about them. Definitely not one of the top tires for running comps. A softer compound would help them allot. I think the tread pattern itself would fair pretty good,it's the compound that kills them. One thing I tried with a set of stock lizards...and they did a good deal better. The center tread blocks, cut every other one out, completely down to the tires carcass. I'll dig around in my junk tomorrow and see if I've still got them lying around. I'll try to take a picture of them to show what I did. If thats the only tire you got to run,I'd highly recommend cutting a few blocks out. Lets the tires clean out easier and get a better bite on tiny ledges/corners. |

Not a good tire to run in comps, believe me, I have tried. How ever they make a awesome scale 2.2 tire. What Raptorman suggested is right on the money. I have also run them with out any foam, and just air, they seems to work pretty good, but once you poke a hole in the tire its all over, atleast till you seal it with some silicone kinda adds to the scaleness if you use it on a scale truck. If your looking for a comp tire the Team Panther Cougars or the Rock Claws are pretty much the standard right now. I personally favor the Cougars, with the Memory foam. |

Also, other posts reference siping tire lugs (slicing the lug across a few times so it opens up) and removing all the small lugs down the center so the "v" shaped lugs can grab better.

| amen, and the tread is already far apart. i don't see what good it would do , other than to sipe them, to cut them. i can't believe what axial did to the rc market with such a ground breaking rig and then put such a crappy tire on them. |
