How to mount tire on beadlock wheels?

well... I have no problem mounting tire to beadlock on my ax-10 and cr-01. It normally takes no more than 15 mintues.

but I have spent the past two hours on installing RC4WD's rock stompers to 1.9 ture scale beadlock wheels.

I always try to push edge of the tire into wheel thread as much as I can. Then align beadlock ring and screw on 4 screws (cross pattern) first to make sure the pressure is been applied evenly. Then gradually install and tighten the other screws.

This method has been working perfectly fine on first pair of tires. But the last two tires are PITA to work with. :-( One section of the tire edge always pop out once I screwed the ring half way to the end! It drives me nuts!

I thought I can be done with them in 15 mintues. But end up wasting my entire launch break and still unfinished. Not to mention I am hungry as hell.

Is there any special trick to install tires on these things?

ok... it appears the 2nd pair of rock stompers had too much rubber in the bead edge. It can't be stuffed into the beadlock tire thread. After trimming off 2mm of rubber, it went in just fine. No more popping
