I've not tried anything from Max Amps. A few guys that run with us use their packs and they seem to do the job and hold up well. Running a 55t,your amp draw is REALLY low,so just about any cell will perform well. Before I went to running all lipos in everything,I ran the Elite 2/3a's in our 2.2's. IMHO,they are top notch cells. You can get a good deal on a pre made pack at Holmes Hobbies

Personally,I'd get no less than an 8 cell pack. A 55t on 6 cells is pretty slow. Running a 55t on 10-12 volts, they can perform fairly well. If you have or are planning on installing front dig, you'll need some wheel speed to make use of it. Volting up is the best way,IMHO.

What ESC are you running? Whats the voltage limit? Should be listed in the book or on the box it came in.

Acme? Was is built or used by Bugs Bunny or any of the other Loony Tunes?

Just kidding...never heard of it. Pretty sure it'll handle 6 cells, probably 7. You might do some research on line to see if you can find more info about it. One thing to keep in mind....

Crawlers running motors with low amp draw, like your 55t, and low gearing....you can get away with running a little higher voltage through your ESC. Amp draw is what causes some of the heat in a ESC. If you watch the temps and everything seems to stay happy, you can get away with running over the voltage limit. Keep in mind you are at your own risk and it'll probably void the warranty,if there is any.

You might want to start looking at a more crawler friendly ESC. I run Castle Creations stuff and love it. Allot of guys seem to like the new Tekin ESC. Either set up you go with will be a good upgrade for you.
