general consensus seems to be around 7oz in each front and 3 in the rear. i ll be trying a set of losis with 6.5/7 in each front and 2 to 3 in each rear. i think i have 18oz of weights here, so pretty sure it ll be around 7 f and 2 r

That would be added weight for each wheel. If you have stock wheels that's the best place to start. If you have wheels that are heavier you might need to add less to start off and see how it does. I got a postal scale to make sure I had each front and rear wheels the same weight.

None front or rear, why make your rig heavier? Any weight you add to your rig you have to push or pull up a rock. Change your tire and foam setup. AX-10 Axles Eritex solids Panther softs with single Panther Memory foams RC4WD R2 enclosed Custom droop chassis 2 3/4" GC Rig weight 6.5 lbs. |

I used one wrap around the wheel of 1/2 oz segmented weights(I believe it was 7.5 oz) in each front, and one wrap of 1/4 oz (4 oz) in each rear. It does make a difference. Try some weight and see how your rig does, then add or subtract to fit your driving style.

Most of the time weight drags you off of things and adds stress to you drive line. People who can't setup suspensions use a lot of weight. Play with your link, shock, and tire/foam setup. Read through entire this tread. It has info that everyone should know. Anti Squat and Suspension Tech If you can grasp the concepts in the tread you will know what it takes to beat the other guy. i guess you know more than all the 1:1 competition rigs in xrra and the various rock crawling circuits across the country who ALL run water in their tires for the same reason we add lead weights to the wheels...???? | |

I think everyone in my club lately is running 6-8 oz (depending on wheel weight & type) in each front & none in the rear. Weight in the rear might help keep you planted better in off cambers but really seems to do nothing for you otherwise. Steep climbs especially weight in the rear just seems to hurt you. My 2 cents |

| If you compare the two trucks. Scale you are running 700 lb of weight in your front wheels, how much water are they putting in their tires maybe 20 lbs.
