Default Brushless Gearing and power questions

I recently bought a Sidewinder and 5700kV motor package to put in my crawler I just built.
The crawler has AX10 axles and transmission. The pinion I am running is 18 tooth and the spur gear is an 87 tooth. I am using a 1200mAh 6 cell NiMH.

I am new to the whole programming of the ESC so based on what I have read here I set the brake to 100%, drag brake to 100%, punch to 0%, Start Power high, Motor timing to 15. the rest is default.

When I start to crawl the truck stutters. It has plenty of wheel speed but seems to have little torque.
Based on what I have written here what are some possible solutions? Is the motor too much for the system? What about the spur or pinion.

I have an AX10 basically stock running a Rooster Crawler ESC and a 65T motor. It doesn't have speed but it has LOTS of torque. What can I do so my new truck also has lots of torque using a brushless setup?

you need to get a low kv motor. the motor you have is made to go fast.

I've seen some people use that type of motor (5700kv) what they might have been using is something that stops them cogging and stuttering, I don't remember what it's called.

Can I use a sensored motor with the Sidewinder ESC?
I was thinking of using a Novak SS4300.

a smaller pinion and larger spur will give you more torq. and lessen the coging.

ive heard u can use sensored motors with sensoreless escs but ud still have cogging u defonitly need smaller pinion gear and a bigger spur if u can get one to fit. lower kv towood b good holmes hobbies makes a 1000kv motor i think they call it a revolver or crawlmaster has a seald can,ooh yea and its sensoreless to perfect for the sidewinder or mambamax, and not to pricey
