| Bang for the buck crawler?
Hey guys, I use to be really into rc, then was away for about 4 or 5 years now wanna get a crawler, wanna keep it as simple as possible, i wanna run nimh's with brushed motor, just for fun not to get too serious. There are many to choose from, which one in your opinion would be good for me, I don't care if it's rtr or not, thinking about a cliff climber cuz the price is pretty good for what it is, but how do you hook up 2 motors and 2 servos? Thanks for any help

The losi MRC is a very nice rtr out of the box, and with a few free/cheap upgrades it can be a very good crawler.

either the MRC or the Axial artr are both good choices. with the MRC it is easier to find challenging terrain to run on. and the Axial has the best aftermarket support. both are very easy to mod and would be a good choice.

| for a first crawler its agood choice. lots of support from losi and aftermarket. comes with everything you need to start off. also in the mrc section there is tons of tech to help mod it.i took mine out of the box did all the free mods and just added a few sip tires and weight . woke it right up and made it a starter comp rig. just watch the direction you put the shocks back on. many have broken them trying to force them back on. one side is bigger than the other . just be aware. so pull the trigger and join the club. you wont be disappointed.

Look for a good condition used Axial AX10. Many have performed the mods needed to make it work the best. As you know because you dumped $800 into this hobby does not mean you are going to get $800 out of it. You will take a loss. So let some one else take the loss and pick up a great deal from the classifieds section on a slightly or highly modified AX10... Quote:

MRC. I have one getting modded out and will soon turn another into a scaler with a longer wheelbase. As said in other posts, it is complete out of the box. |

Another possibility, check out the classifieds here.. There are a lot of people who graduate to new vehicles on a yearly basis, and there's nothing wrong with their old rigs Scott |
