Default Shock Q's

I am trying to set up a droop suspension and i am have problems getting the end off of thr shock rod any pointers?

if your talking about the rod end, I use a pair of side cutters, put slight tension on the rod next to the rod end while turning the rod end, if your talking about the piston, use a small screw driver to release the e clip...

I use a pair of thin vise grips. attach just enough to keep it from spinning. I have yet to mess up the shaft. I'm just careful imo

i use a piece of leather in pliers to grip the shaft ...............bob

thanks for the replies and thought the leather was cool but couldnt find any and so i used to bare pliers and it didnt mess the shaft up so i used that
