Sounds like a great deal to me. I spent about about 650 on building my ARTR.

I would change the ESC of the bat. Not sure if that means no reverse, but you need a drag break. go with e tekin or a novak rooster.

New or used? Either way, you can get the radio and RX on ebay for $40. The ESC with no reverse is useless for crawling. The battery sounds is a big stick pack, heavy and no good place for mounting. I don't think it's a good deal.

Not that great of a deal even if new. The ESC is worthless with no reverse. NiCad batteries are yesteryears technology, the servo sounds cheap, as mentioned, the radio and rx can be had for $30-$40. You're still going to need to spend a good deal to get it up to snuff.

Save some $$ and go with a motor/esc combo, Tekin or Novak. And I would check out www.cheapbatterypacks.com Hope I've helped.

not a good deal. the esc is worthless, the radio and reciever is on ebay buy it now $30 plus shipping. there is a local guy here in seattle with a new artr in box for $200 on c/l. you can get a crawler combo for $108 plus shipping on e-bay. here is a link to the artr in seattle. Ask him, he had a battery and some extra stuff too. its a real deal. I bought his rooster crawler combo. http://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/tag/1136862051.html
