Default The RTC

The stock RTR ax10 is not worth the money if you really look at it, because you will spend a ton of money upgrading everything on it. The RTC looks comp ready out the box with better parts.

ARTR= a great product but you will have to purchase a radio, motor and ESC to get it running

RTC= A better out of the box Axial crawler Product

RTR= A great basher out of the box. You will spend at least $300 to upgrade it. This will include new ESC, Servo, Lower Links, Tires and four link for TT.

Keep in mind also if you plan on comping you will have to spend between $50 to $130 for a dig unit also. I started with a RTR and trust me use the search feature to help you decide on parts before you purchase.

I just purchased the RTR instead of the RTC.
My thinking was for the extra $30 for the RTC I purchased a Novak 55turn "quality" motor rather then the stock 55t that comes in the RTC.
As for shocks the RTR ones work well I just limited them internally changed shock oil and swapped to 2.5” Losi springs.
Last I just trimmed the body for now rub all of my mods cost me a total of $40 and my truck is more capable then the stock RTC.
If you purchase the RTC you will end up swapping springs anyway, The RTR and RTC share the same esc and the same steering servo so they is no benefit one way or the other on that.

not to question you obviously profesional knowledge of R/C crawling, but how would you know if what you have is better when the RTC isn't even out yet? They don't have the same servo, the springs won't need changing as they installed the right ones from the get go, The body is way better, the tires are way better, and instead of spending the $40 on what you did buy you could have trown another $30-50 on that and gotten a good esc instead and been alot further ahead.

guys the RTC is hands down the better option of the 2. Just be patient and wait for it or you will be disapointed. If you plan to spend $ upgrading anythiing as soon as you get it it should be the ESC. A Tekin FXR or a Sidewinder will make a world of difference in the performance.

I was only giving my input on personal experience. Not saying it’s the only way to go. And no I don’t have much professional knowledge of R/C crawling I am a newbie. If I was a patient person I would have also waited for the RTC but im not and wanted to get a crawler now so that is the route I took. As for the servo being the same you are correct they are not I got it confused with the esc’s that are alike. The esc would be one of the first things to go what ever model you get there are crap.
