| Your opinion...BEST CRAWLER MOTOR...
What do you run in your rig(s), and what do you consider to be the best in your personal opinion, regardless of cost. |

I think this would greatly depend on what the rig is and what type of performance you are after. For my berg, I like the cheap old V10 50t Integy's. My axial shafty, I like the 35t Warrior. Both rigs are comp rigs. |

I was running Integy 50t v10s in my Berg adn they were nice. I just switched in 2 Warrior R/T 40 turns and WOW I really like them. Good slow throttle control and alot of wheelspeed on demand.

Emaxx 21T titan motor....if yuou can fit it you will be suprised how well it works. Gotta run a 3 cell 20C or better lipo and in a axial a 19T pinion is perfect( it will be crazy fast and more torque than you will need) and in a losi rig a 15t pinion will give you good top end and great torque without issue. My 2 cents... |

Holmes pullers are they best thing out. A close second is 30-45t Handwounds. I like my 35t Holmes Handwound for most situations though. It have great torque and wheelspeed on my 3s lipo's. Like stated above alot of it is going to depend on the rig. It's also going to depend on a persons driving style.

Yes it is a 14V motor but on a 3 cell lipo( mine is a 35C Tenergy 1300mah) it is awsome! You'll be thanking me if you try it cause it will amaze you. Everyone who has seen my rig run where blown away with how well the motor works in a crawler. Last edited by Ralphy; 06-08-2009 at 03:02 PM. |

In a shaftie, hands down,a 10t puller on a 3 cell would be my choice out of any. A Berg, hands down couple of Holmes Hobbies 35t hand wounds....on a 3 cell. Quote:
That's in a Losi.....worm gears. Totally different apple compared to Axials or Bergs. Back in the day, some guys ran those in crawlers before we had good motors to choose from. Had to run ridiculous gear down to make them work as well. They may have there spot in some rigs though. Last edited by Reflection; 06-08-2009 at 06:12 PM. Reason: merged to posts. | |

when it comes to brushed motors i'd highly recommend a 55t motor. mainly to teach them how to go slow and learn smooth throttle control. from their you canstart knocking of turns 10 at a time untill you find your sweet spot. im running an hh 35t at the moment and think im going to stick w/ this motor for a while |

| Re: Your opinion...BEST CRAWLER MOTOR... There's just a bevy of things wrong with this statement. Novak motors have never been on my list of good motors. 2nd, 55t is too slow, beginner or not. Newbs need wheelspeed too. 3rd, novak's rooster is an esc, not a motor. Your gonna have this cat pulling his hair out, looking for a non-existant motor. Go with a 45t, or a 35t(even better). But since we're talking beginner here, why not the axial 27t? They're sittin in drawers & boxes by the zillions, & they're a good motor to boot. And, ya won't lose sleep if ya smoke one.
