Default all sorts of problems :(

finally got my cc01 built up, and its been non stop problems ever since. first was the steering locking left when i switched it on, sorted that now. the second is it drives on off by itself sometimes, or turns the wheels when i put it into reverse. no idea whats causing that. and the third is when i turn the wheels the 2 drive shafts on the front wheels fall out of the cups, causing the wheels to jam. as soon as i put them back in a few turns later and they fall out again.

has anyone encountered these problems before? anyone know how to sort them?

what kind of Radio equipment are you using? if its glitchy or running around by itself it could be your Transmitter and Receiver.

If its an AM or FM radio try this .....
make sure radio antenna is fully up before turning the rig on. turn radio on before the truck.
make sure your receiver antenna is in an isolated antenna tube up in the air. is the antenna wire touching anything metal?
how close is your receiver mounted to the motor?

dont know to much on the axle part though sorry. sounds like maybe servo EPA settings are maxed out, maybe a bearings missing in the knuckle .....

ok cheers for the help, the radio gear is 2.4ghz, duno if this makes any difference, the receiver is about and inch away from the motor, its the furthest away i could get it as the wires from the servo and ESC arnt that long.
il try getting some extetion wires for the servo and move it further away.

As far as the front shafts falling out, yeah EPAs are set too high. Lower them down and you want have any issues.

There are some Tamiya Universals that I got for my old CC01. I cannot find the part # for them. I am thinking that they fit the TL01. They worked great and you could turn the wheels lock to lock.

oh ..... 2.4 systems should be glitchless.

youve calibrated your ESC to the Transmitter? checked all settings in the radio?

EPAs are End Point Adjustments. They limit how far the servo will travel in each direction. Most 2.4ghz radios will have endpoint adjustments, or ATV (adjustable travel volume, both directions at once). Read your manual for how to adjust them on your radio.

If you do not have EPA or ATV, use a shorter servo horn/servo saver.

Looks to me like you're off to a better than average start actually.

One cheater thing to try for your front dog bones, is to put o-rings like are used in shocks in the drive cups. start with 1 o-ring in 1 drive cup, test, add o-rings as needed. Should help and really cheap!
