I finally have the money for some motors for my clod. Which would you use for a trail/crawler tuber. I will be running Swamp Kongs, so what gearing would you use with either lathe motors or magnetic mayhems. Any and all help would be appreciated. I have built my rig using tips from everyone on this forum. Well, not everyone but lets just say a lot. My lhs has lathe motors, and I can buy mm's directly from Kyosho. Again any help will be greatly appreciated.

I was gonna say good luck finding a MM, because I've been trying. But since you know how to get them... (i want one.)

get the smallest pinions (8 or 9 tooth) possible with swamp kongs, maybe even a gear reduction for finer tuning. Be prepared to break if you wheel hard. Those tires are heavy and stressful. I would go with the lathe motors with 8 or 9 cells. It will be fast even with 8 tooth pinions.

Thanks johnrobholmes. The truck is going to be a basher/trail tuber, not a full on comp rig. And for anyone that wants to know, Kyosho America will sell mm's direct but for a little more money. I think they quoted me $38 each. And they are wanting more distributors. They will not sell for an internet company. Just actual hobby stores.
