| Battery mah question
I saw a post where someone purchased a Lipo that was marked 3S 1500mah, and they had it fail and disassembled it to learn it was actually only 1300mah. Well, I got two batteries from the same store, how do I tell what mah mine are?:?

What type of charger do you have? Some will tell you the input value...

ya, run it down to the low voltage, plug it in and see how many mah's it takes. If your running lipo, you prolly have a decent charger.

I use a Hyperion 6060i I believe it is.....I have to select a mah setting prior to charging.:? I was setting at 1500 up until I read that post, and then tried 1300 to see what happened. It went to 1299 and ended. So it may just partially charged. Is there a way to tell by charge rate or something? |

Which batteries are you referring to? I have two 1500mah CKRC 3S lipos. One holds about 1390mah and the other 1480mah. You kind of get what you pay for with cheap batteries unfortunately. | |

Do you have a volt meter? check the individual cell voltage; I would imagine that if the bats are not fully charging the voltage would not be reaching 4.2v/cell on a 1300mAh charge.
